Task 3: Final Submission

INSTRUCTIONS

Task 3: Final Submission

After completing Task 2, we moved on to the final task: to create a Wayang Kulit virtual showroom. Same as before, we were separated into a few groups and I choose to take part in the Art Design.

I have designed three different art works to be exhibited in the virtual showroom using Adobe Illustrator. As I thought the traditional Wayang Kulit design might not seek the audiences' attention. I have applied several design principles such as repetition and white space to make the art design more interesting.

For better communication, we gather the information we found and put it in a google Docs.

For our Introduction Poster(Isometric Poster), it was nicely done by Julia. Dr. Jinchi suggested us to use the art style of Wayang Kulit for the design of our poster and for the Virtual Showroom.

We held several meetings and Chze Huang shared his screen during the meetings so that we all can take a look at the showroom and give more ideas and suggestions to make the showroom even better.

REFLECTIONS

Based on the things I've learned throughout this module, my strengths and weaknesses, my changes after taking this module respectively.

In a word, I have learned so much thoughout this module. I have gained knowledge on Wayang Kulit which is something that I have heard about but never got the chance to learn more about it. I am even glad that I got the opportunity to teach the younger generations about it. I enjoyed the whole process of completing the project, I am thankful that I have such great group members, who helps each other throughout the process, and motivates each other to do better. I have seen many online showroom before but have never done one, it was a great experience for me as I have learned so many new things and widen my knowledge as well as really executing the ideas that I had in my mind. With each and every of the group members' hardworks, we are happy that we managed to complete it at the end.

For my strength, I think I am good at brainstorming ideas and to create art designs as well as giving different and unconstrained ideas and suggestions. My weaknesses is definitely efficiency as I am always a last minute person to complete my task. With that said, I have been improving myself by focusing on the important task and not get distracted by some other stuffs. I am really grateful that I have my group mates to complete the task as they are far more efficient than me that motivates me to work on my parts even harder.

My changes after taking this module would be getting more interested in different culture and paying more attention to the values that each culture have. I also started to communicate more compare to my previous group tasks, all thanks to my friendly and helpful group mates, and a really responsible group leader. If I could improve this module, it would be having more chances to go out and really explore the cultures ourselves such as holding school trips to make learning more interesting. I also understand that this situation is due to the pandemic so I do not blame anyone. Also, I hope more sources to get useful and better information about Culture could be shared and recommended to us so that we could skip all that unuseful websites.
