FLIP CLASS
We are required to pick one free online infographic tool and re-design one poorly constructed infographic poster through our own experimentation with the selected tool. We are to record the process into the our blog and present the redesigned infographics with before and after comparison. Then we have to rate and write a review of the online tool according to the difficulty, intuitiveness, usefulness, design templates and choices of the tool.

Reasons of poor design:
1. The design is not eye-catching that a viewer wouldn't spend time reading all the informations as the design doesn't seem appealing at all.
2. Poor typographic arrangement and poor sense of margins, some of the words are too packed which make the infographic doesn't look neat overall. Alignments are too messy.
3. Unpleasant colour choices(both graphics and typography).
4. Lake of interesting elements.
The tool I used to redesign the infographic is Canva. I added some elements to the infographic to make it look more interesting. I also changed the font type, font size, and arrangement of font. Besides, I also made the given information short and easy to understand by bringing in the list of numbers to show the steps clearly. I tried using different elements including the different shapes, different cat signs and colours to see which suit best. As the original design doesn't seem attractive, I changed the theme colour so that it look more coordinated.

Rating and review of the online tool - Canva
Difficulty level: 0.5 I think the Canva tool is very easy and straightforward to use. First of all, it can almost achieve everything a user could think of. Throughout the design process, I didn't need to spend much time investigating the tools which provided more time for the ideation process.
Intuitiveness level: 5 The tools are very user friendly because I can manage to understand what the tools are for as a first time user.
Usefulness: 3 Canva even provides a great amount of images and graphics and we can search for what we want directly using the tool instead of spending time to get images from Google. Although the tool is very useful, but they actually required you to pay for the Pro version in order to get rid of the watermark which is not very practical for students like me.
Design Templates, Choices: 2 Canva provides templates with different designs and arrangements, but as I mentioned earlier most of them required a Pro version. Anyways, the templates they provided all have good designs and is well coordinated.
